The star of Monty Python and wiriter and traveler, Michael Palin, was in Edinburgh last night and today to launch the 2013 Britain from the Air outdoor exhibition.
The exhibition was supported by City of Edinburgh Council and brought to Edinburgh by the Royal Geographical Society with the Institute of British Geographers and has been researched and built by street gallery pioneers, Wecommunic8. Michael Palin, former president of the Royal Geographical Society, says: “I can think of no better time to celebrate Britain’s built and natural landscapes. And the size and scale of ‘Britain from the Air’ will, I’m sure, appeal to the widest possible audience in the most exciting and powerful way.”
Delighted too to have one of my own pictures chosen to be in the exhibition. Not only that but it was the picture chosen by the organisors to present to Michael.
Pleased with a job I did for them at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, G4S asked me to cover a presentation to R&A Chief Execuitve to mark 30 years of working with the R&A.
A glorious day on 6 Feb and one that started in the Chief Executives office – with views across the 1st tee, the 18th green, the Swilken Bridge and the bay at St Andrews where filming took place for Chariots of Fire. A view golfers would dribble over. The room that is used by Peter Dawson is the centre of the administrative activities of both The R&A and The Royal and Ancient Golf Club. It is the office of the Chief Executive of The R&A and the Secretary of The Royal and Ancient Golf Club, and it’s also where the major meetings of The R&A and the Club take place. It is a room steeped in history.

A real weekend fiesta of Spanish dance, music, food and a giant paella helped brighten an at times wet Spanish Tourist Board promo event on The Mound Edinburgh.
Spain’s principle holiday areas were there to promote a sun destination which wasn’t lost on a somewhat damp Saturday (Sunday turned out good). I was booked for 2nd year by Lotus UK the London PR agency appointed by the Spanish Touroist Board.
Got call from the agency Results PR in Edinburgh to do PR shots for a dentist in Edinburgh with new water laser treatment equipment. The brief was to capture patient consultation, the new equipment in action and a shot of all the practice staff.
The shots were used in dentistry magaziness and web sites such as Dentistry.co.uk
